Conference

FATE’s 17th Biennial Conference Dress Boutique Old Casual Navy winter Foundations in Flux will be
hosted by Columbus College
of Art & Design
in Columbus, Ohio on
April 4th-6th, 2019
The Call for Papers/Presenters is now OPEN!

The CCAD Conference Planning Team & The FATE board are thrilled to offer a wide variety of opportunities to share your research & skills in the form of traditional panel sessions, more intimate roundtable discussions and hands-on workshops at FATE’s 17th Biennial Conference, Foundations in Flux.

As foundational learning continues to shift and grow, we educators find ourselves reinventing curricular structures to suit the needs of our first year students. We’re in a state of constant flux as we tackle new methods of technique and concept-based learning styles.

But this challenging paradigm offers an opportunity: We can connect with our students on a human level as we navigate through issues in the educational, social, and political realm. At the upcoming FATE Conference Foundations in Flux, let’s dig into the ways we are engaging this new generation of global citizens -- and how we can do that better.

FATE is committed to being inclusive by encouraging participation from a diverse range of voices within underrepresented identities and communities. In addition, we encourage participation from a wide spectrum within the academic community (high school educators, adjuncts, graduate students, art historians, fine artists, designers, faculty representing rural institutions, community colleges, and those teaching advanced courses).
